Van Slams into Bel Air, MD, House, Igniting Gas-Fed Blaze

The driver ran away after the incident that forced neighbors to be evacuated, Bel Air firefighters said.

A van crashed into a Bel Air house igniting a blaze Wednesday night.

Bel Air firefighters evacuated nearby residents as the gas-fed fire raged, WJZ reported.

The van driver ran away after the crash, but has been identified.

Crews found a dog dead in the house and another was rushed to a veternarian for care.

The cause of the incident remains under investigation.
